Helmut Klewan (1943) owned art galleries in Vienna (1970-1986) and Münich (1978-1999), staging exhibitions by many prominent European artists, including Dieter Roth. After closing down the gallery he concentrated on his art collction, which has been exhibited in various museums.

Stefan Moses (1928-2018) was born in Poland, survived Nazi persecution and settled in Münich in 1950 to become a press photographer. In the course of the following decades he became one of Germany's most famous portrait photographers, who documented the life of a nation and took countless portraits of celebrities notably from the worlds of art and politics.
